Legal Counsel Job Portrait
As the legal representative of Swissgrid in international projects, I make sure we have a technical solution that can be legally implemented.
Charlotte Rossat, Legal Counsel
As a trained lawyer, Charlotte Rossat represents Swissgrid on national and EU-wide projects and committees. She often works with engineers and is in close contact with a variety of EU partners and national stakeholders in order to develop new projects and processes, and to ensure that the solutions which are found can be implemented by all partners. This is particularly challenging: in spite of close collaboration with its European partners, communication is not always easy for Swissgrid because, as a Swiss company, it is not subject to EU law. That is why consideration of the political dimension plays an important role in Charlotte’s work. In this area of conflicting interdisciplinary and international regulations, Charlotte has to defend her position and produce convincing, fact-based arguments.
